Your dashboard
What the dashboard shows when you sign in, where each card leads, and how to start on another page instead.
The dashboard answers what you open the console to find out: what is on today, what falls due this week, what waits on your decision and what you are working on. It opens after you sign in, and from Dashboard at the top of the sidebar.

The cards
Each card shows the first few items and ends with a link to the register that holds the rest.
- Today: your diary for the day, each entry with its time or All day. Open the diary goes to the calendar.
- Deadlines: your dates falling due in the next seven days. See all deadlines opens the deadline register narrowed to yours.
- Waiting on me: the documents waiting on your decision. Open the approvals queue goes to Approvals.
- My matters: the matters you are on the team of. Open my matters opens the same list on the matter register.
- Court this week: the next sittings within your reach. Where past sittings still want their outcome recorded, a line says how many are due and leads to them. Open the court schedule goes to Court.
A card with nothing to show says so in one line, such as Nothing today.
Who sees which card
A card is drawn only for someone who may read the register behind it, so the dashboard holds fewer cards for a role that does not read diaries, deadlines, approvals, matters or hearings. Every item on a card is judged by the same rules as its record: a matter behind an ethical wall you are outside of never appears.
Start somewhere else
To open on another page after signing in, open your profile, then Preferences, and choose the Start page: Dashboard, Matters, Calendar, Time or Tasks. A page you may not open sends you to the dashboard instead.
