Send email from your firm's domain
The name the firm's email goes out under, where replies go, and sending from the firm's own domain step by step.
Notices, invitations, sign-in codes, signing requests and every other message the system sends go out as the firm. Open Settings, Profile, Branding, Email.
The sender
Sender shows the name every message goes out under, the address it comes from and where a reply goes. Choose Edit to change them:
- Sent as. Left blank, the firm's short name.
- Replies go to. An address the firm reads, such as the front desk. Left blank, a reply goes to whoever sent the message.
Every message carries the firm's logo at its head, its colour on its button, and a footer of its short name, its address and the registered numbers the firm prints on its letterhead (registration number, TIN, VAT number).
Send from your own domain
Until the firm's own domain is verified, mail goes from the product's address with the firm's name on it. To send from the firm's own domain:
- Under Sending domain, choose Add domain and enter the part after the @ in the firm's own addresses, such as
mensahlaw.com.gh. - The list then shows the DNS records to add: SPF records (an MX and a TXT) and a DKIM TXT record, each with its name and value. Use a record's menu to copy its name or value.
- Sign in where the firm's domain is managed (its registrar or DNS host) and add each record exactly as shown. Add the DMARC TXT record too: it is advised rather than required, and tells receiving servers to treat mail that fails the checks as suspect.
- Records can take from a few minutes to a day to be seen. Choose Check records; each record reads Found or Not found yet, and the domain reads Verified once every required record is found.
- Choose Choose address and enter the part before the @, such as
notices. From then on mail goes fromnotices@the firm's domain.

Remove stops sending from the domain, after asking; mail goes from the product's address again. Every change here is kept in the brand's History.
