Payment plans
Agree instalments with a client for one or more of its bills, and see each instalment's standing as the client pays.
Agree a plan
- Billing, Collections, Payment plans, then New payment plan.
- Choose the client and the day the plan was agreed.
- Tick the bills it covers. They must be the client's, in one currency, with money outstanding.
- Set the instalments. Split evenly shares the total into equal instalments a month apart from the first due day; change any amount or day as agreed.
- Agree plan. The instalments must come to exactly what the bills have outstanding, each on a later day than the one before.
A bill is in one active plan at a time, and reminder letters skip bills in an active plan.
How a plan stands
The plan's page lists its instalments as paid, part paid, due or overdue. They are read from what the client has paid on the plan's bills since it was agreed, applied to the instalments in order. When every bill is settled the plan reads completed.
Cancel a plan
Cancel plan ends an active plan with the reason. Its bills can then be chased again, and the plan keeps its history.
