Bills and credit notes
Read a posted bill, send it to the client, record the Revenue Authority's reference and correct it with a credit note.
The bills register
Billing, Bills lists every posted bill with its date, due date, total, what is still owed and its standing: posted, part paid, paid, part credited, credited or written off. An overdue bill is marked. Each matter's Bills tab lists its own bills.

A bill's page
The bill shows its lines, each tax with its rate, its totals, and what credit notes, payments and write-offs have done since. It links to the journal it posted and to its pre-bill.
From the actions menu:
- Download PDF: the bill on the firm's letterhead.
- Send by email: to the client's address on file, or others you name, with copies and a message. Each sending is listed under Deliveries, including any that bounced.
- Record fiscal reference: where the firm fiscalises by hand, the reference the Ghana Revenue Authority issued.
- Issue a credit note and Write off bad debt.
A posted bill has no Edit.
Issue a credit note
- On the bill, choose Issue a credit note.
- Credit the whole bill, or part of it by entering an amount against each line. A line cannot be credited for more than it has left.
- Choose the reason and describe it in words.
- Tick any time to bill again. It goes back to work in progress on the matter.
- Issue credit note. It posts and takes its number.

Credit note reasons
Settings, Credit note reasons holds the reasons chosen on every credit note, each with a short code that reports group by. Retire a reason the firm no longer uses. A reason no credit note has used can be deleted.
