Other names a client is known by
Keep former and other names on a party so conflict searches can find them.
On a party's overview, Other names keeps former names, names they are also known as, maiden names and former company names. These are searched alongside the party's display, registered, trading and other names.
Add or change a name
Choose Add name, select its kind, enter the name, and add the dates it was used and a note if known. An end date cannot be before the start. A party can carry at most fifty live aliases. The same normalised name and kind cannot be added twice while live.
Open a row to read its dates, note and who recorded it. Edit changes a live name. Remove asks for a reason and keeps the history; Show removed includes those rows in the list.
Names from a merge
A merged-away party's distinct names are kept on the surviving party as From a merged record, with a link to the source party. These names cannot be edited or removed by hand. Searches find the survivor through them; the merged-away party does not appear as another hit.
