Consents and conflict waivers

Keep a signed consent from every affected client, with its scope, expiry and history.

A waiver decision needs a live consent from each client chosen as affected. Uploading one document for the whole check does not replace these individual records.

On the check, choose Add consent. Choose a party named in its inputs or results, the day they consented, what they consented to, and an expiry if the consent has one. Consent cannot be dated in the future; expiry must be after consent. For an organisation, name who signed for it.

Choose or drop the signed PDF and save. The signed consent is filed as a document on the matter, or against the consenting party when the check has no matter. Its document link follows the document's scanning and access rules.

Read its standing

The check's Consents section lists live, expiring, expired, withdrawn and replaced consents. Search, narrow by standing or consent date, and open a row for its scope, signature, document and history.

Extend expiry asks for a later date and a reason. A fixed expiry cannot be shortened or cleared. Renew makes a new signed consent for the same party and keeps the previous consent as replaced. Withdraw asks for the withdrawal day and reason; it cannot predate consent or be in the future. Recorded consents are kept, never deleted.

The firm's Compliance settings set the expiry notice period and whether lapsed consent warns or blocks new work. The responsible partner and people allowed to decide conflicts are notified when consent is expiring or lapses. A waiver's matter shows Consent lapsed if an affected client no longer has live consent. Under the block setting, new time, disbursements and document uploads are stopped until the position is settled.
