Concept
Deleted records and restore
Nothing a person deletes is destroyed. It is marked with who, when and why, stays readable on its own page, and can be restored.
What deleting does
When you delete a record, whether a task, a note, a document or a party's contact, it disappears from the working lists but is not destroyed. It is marked with who deleted it, when, and the reason they gave.
A link to a deleted record still opens it, marked as deleted, with the person, the day and the reason at the top.
Restore
- Open Settings, then Deleted records, or follow a link to the record.
- Choose Restore. The record returns as it was, and the restore is recorded.

Restoring needs the same permission as changing that kind of record.
When a record is really destroyed
Only at the end of its retention period, by two people, and never under a legal hold.
